2026 Parish Council Meetings

To All Councillors

You are hereby summoned to attend the Meeting of the Parish Council to be held at the Chapel, Chapel Lane, Little Hale on Tuesday 3rd November 2026 at 7.30 pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this and any Parish Council meeting during the year.

Ten minutes prior to the start of the business of the meeting are set aside for a Public Forum.

 

  1. Welcome
  2. Apologies for Absence.
  3. Declaration of Interests and any Dispensations sought under the Localism Act 2011.
  4. Casual vacancy – to co-opt a new councillor to replace Cllr Hill.
  5. Minutes of the previous meeting, held on 25th August 2026, for approval
  6. Finance 2026-27
  1. To receive updated financial statements noting any receipts, etc., including HMRC VAT claim received 1st September, CIL payment received 16th October and ratify any  payments made since the last meeting including Clerk’s August salary and HMRC paid 15th August and September salary and HMRC paid 14th October.
  2. To agree Clerk’s salary in light of nationally agreed 3.3% pay rise backdated to 1st April 2026
  3. To approve payments in principle including Clerk (October and November Parish Council and Cemetery work) and HMRC for payment 15th November including reimbursement of £20 for CSW 30 mph sign, and 15th December, respectively, as previously agreed.
  1. Finance 2027-28 – to consider initial draft budget for agreement in January
  2. Clerk’s Report and Correspondence received.
  1. Newsletters from LALC, LCC, NKDC, EA.
  2. Updates from Cllrs Tarry and Collard
  3. Updates from Cllr East.
  4. Lloyds Bank Statements and any other correspondence received.
  1. Cemetery
  1. To note the transactions report to end of October, including refund of one plot reservation fee, one interment and one memorial, and any work planned, including interment 18th November.
  2. To note progress with the Land Registration and agree payment of Chattertons’ invoice.
  3. To consider STC quote for grass-cutting 2027
  1. Policing update – if any
  2. Highways and flooding.
  1. Community Speed Watch – update an application to LCC for grant, as below.
  2. Helpringham Road – to note updates, if any
  3. Chapel Lane – update on AW works to repair old main drain
  4. Road closures for AW works as advertised
  5. HGV traffic around village
  6. Street Numbering: The Bears’ Rest, 27 Fen Road
  7. Village Gates – to receive update on LCC grant and haulage company’s offer.
  8. Winter Salt Bag request – to note submitted.
  9. Flooding – to note survey commissioned by LCC and conducted in October/November

  1. Travellers on Little Hale Fen – update on Court proceedings

  2. Beacon Fen Solar Farm – to note DCO approved 21st August 2026

  2. Bus Shelter Working Party/ Litter Picking – to agree a date for the working party and to agree to purchase of replacement Litter Picking kit
